Updating the firmware

Hi
I’m trying to update the firmware on my Ortur LM2 S2 laser, but I can’t find the Emblaser on the menu bar. I’ve searched everywhere, but it seems to be missing. Ive got the most recent firmware in a folder ready to go.
Can someone tell me where I can find this Emblaser thing please.

Ortur Emblaser are Two different laser brands

Thanks for repying. I’m not sure what you mean by two different laser brands. As I’m new to laser Engraving and only had the Ortur for a month, I asked Google how to upgrade my laser’s firmware, and I got this back:
"To update the firmware on an Ortur Laser machine, you can follow these steps.

  1. Download the latest controller firmware for your machine

  2. Unzip the downloaded firmware file

  3. Turn on your machine and start Lightburn

  4. Select Emblaser from the menu bar

  5. Select update

  6. Select upload controller firmware"

I tried to find the Emblaser and couldn’t, so I came here for help. Before this, I had never heard of Emblaser and didn’t know it was a brand.

I would say Google gave you bad information. You don’t use Lightburn to update firmware. You use software that should have came with your laser. Some sort of a Utility program.

That being said, why do you want to update your firmware? It’s usually a bad idea to do that unless directed to by tech support or you are fixing a known problem that the firmware addresses.
