I have an atom stack A5Pro+ M40 that was older had no limit switches, air assist, offline capacity, touchscreen or wifi. I upgraded the controller with a MKS DLC32 with the 2.4" touchscreen. I ordered an external controller but it is on a slow boat from china so I fit it all in the original enclosure. It was the same size and pattern as my old one so that was easy enough. added a reset button (the red button on top, a slot for access to the memory card. I also added a plug for the relay control for air assist. I made sure there was enough access to be able to unplug the display incase I still wanted to plug into the computer with it.
It has been a f#*cktangular project as getting firmware to work and such has been interesting to say the least. The machine is working great so far. I did a glass etching last night from light burn and it is currently doing a comparison one offline from the memory card with some air assist.
