Did you use the exact same cable as before?
Some of these USB-C controller boards are a little fussy when you use a USB-C to USB-C cable.
If you have a USB-A to USB-C cable, try it instead.

OK, I was able to run tests yesterday, I must have had the E-button pushed down without realizing it last week when it wouldn’t connect.
For both X&Y, max speed and acceleration, I tried 2000, 1000 & 500, and no change made any difference in the final cuts. In fact, I’m not sure that my husband actually had better cuts or not, we’ve lost his test piece.
Video below. At this point, I’m going to contact Monport and see if they’ll send me a new board.
