Upgrades to lightburn?

Is there going to be any development into making pause and resume a little smarter? Im specifically referring to GRBL, but when you pause a file and have to change anything, the timer continues to count even while paused. So lets say you noticed a detail at 36.30 minutes and you wanted to go back to that after homing. Its lost… unless you were quick enough to catch the timer as you clicked pause, its lost. So to me (backseat driver to the software developers here) it seems you have the technology in place, its just not utilized properly.
When hitting pause, the timer should pause and then you could simply add some features like “save current progress” which would allow for the file to continue from its exact stop point and finish with no interuption. Today i paused a file and made an adjustment. I looked at the timer and wrote that down, but didnt notice that in my haste, i missed the fact that the timer was still counting. After making my adjustment, i was able to move the preview slider within 1 second from the time I wrote down and when i selected “start from here” it jumped over about a half an inch from where i stopped it.
I know stopping, adjusting and restarting isnt the norm, but i feel the software could be fixed a little and nothing that currently happens would be lost. Also, making the timer box, that the slider in preview changes, clickable, so you can manipulate it to the exact second would be incredible.
Thanks for reading even if my suggestions seem dumb

New ideas are welcome. This is one of the great benefits of the forum. The experiences of users inform future feature sets and new design directions. We work to keep this a safe place for new ideas.

I think I understand what you’re after.

LightBurn also has a Feature Suggestion site that you can sign up for and upvote new features. Click the blue test in the line above or the words Feature Suggestions in the top header row next to the magnifying glass. Please sign up at the Fider site and have a look for the feature there. If you see what you’re looking for Simply Upvote it. If it’s not there add your suggestion so folks can contribute to the discussion and help it get some momentum.

That tool is used by the developers to track and build the new features. It’s worth a look. Enjoy.
