Using a PNG file

I am having trouble with PNG files when I run a test I get this:

That’s likely from overscan due to incredibly high speeds.

You’re likely over 10,000x faster than your laser is capable of moving. Slow down dramatically. I’d suggest around 20 mm/s to start.

That would be pretty impressive to see though. 0-25mph and back to 0 in, what, 16"? Talk about whiplash!

No doubt. But, the idea is fun.

At work we have a large green laser inspection machine from Virtek that moves pretty fast and I still love watching it run. The plate is like 48" and it can traverse corner to corner in a fraction of a second. But…no moving mass to speak of…

That’s because it’s a glavo. No gantry mass to move around…

Mine will run at 4m/s and is why most fiber glavo can run faster. There are galvo heads for all kinds of lasers.
