I have 3 lasers that I want to run from 1 Mac. Is there anyway to do it? I know that pc’s allow for multiple com ports but I’m not sure how this would work with a Mac. For example: if I have the lasers plugged into a multi USB port how would you direct which printer you want the data to go? Also another problem I have is having multiple work area setups in Lightburn.
I think you create a new profile for each device and select the appropriate profile when using laser 1 2 or 3.
There’s a way to make MacOS launch a 2nd instance of an app from the command terminal, but I can never remember the command. Simpler is to just copy the LightBurn application, and name the 2nd copy “LightBurn 2”. MacOS will treat them as distinct apps that can be launched independently.
