I’m trying to get the laser to show up with a low power spot to help frame the cut outline. I’m using the Atezr L2. I went to edit–Device settings—I turned on enable laser fire button and also turned on Laser On when framing. It doesn’t show up, what other setting has to be enabled to get it to show up? TIA
Fire button power percentage should be set to the lowest number that produces a visible spot. Commonly around 1%. I use 0.25%.
Hello Chris, I don’t see any place to adjust the laser. Is it in that same menu or in the Cut, Layers menu, or? Also, if you don’t mind I have a question about the lowering of the Z axis on each layer cut, it’s a nice option if used correctly!
On my installation, it’s immediately to the left of the “fire” button on the move tab.
Yep, there it was. I would never have thought to look there, thanks a lot, this will hopefully eliminate a lot of wasted cuts and wood.
Before I removed and discarded the safety shield on mine, I found it best to frame before setting focus. The Ikier shield is mostly metal, tho, and my machine is rotated 90 degrees so I was always facing the solid side of it. You may be happier with the orange one on the Atezr.
Yes, I’ve left it on and the only time it’s an issue is when I forget and put a hold down button where the shield catches it during autofocus. I’ve got to say that the autofocus feature absolutely rocks!
