Now that Millmage 0.9 has arrived with all its new fantastic capabilities, does the v carve facility allow for v carved inlays, or do we wait for an upgrade? I can’t imagine all the work which has gone into bringing us the new upgraded Millmage pro and look forward to putting it through its paces, thanks for your efforts.
I did not see inlays mentioned in the new features part. Hard to imagine what they can add other than that.
V carve inlays as a bespoke Operation aren’t currently available - that particular operation needs a bit more work to be intuitive.
You can do a v carve operation twice, a male and a female pass and DIY it with the existing tool as two operations, with a little elbow grease. I haven’t seen any actual examples of it yet, but in theory you can do it.

I’ve done a few V-carve inlays using the method recommended in another thread on this forum. It works reasonably well, but the process is quite tedious, especially for someone like me who is still at a beginner-to-intermediate level.

A specific v-carve inlay tool is planned, yes. You can accomplish it yourself currently using the V-carve operation twice. I’ve pinged someone on our team that’s currently doing this for their input.
