I recently updated to version 2.0 from and older version, I don’t remember the version, but it was circa 2022 when I first installed it. I am unable to set a User Origin. No matter what I do, when selecting Go To Origin it always wants to return to the absolute origin. I have attempted to re-do all the settings and all seems correct. I have seen similar posts on this forum in the last day or so seems to be application related. I am using GRBL This did work just fine on earlier version.
Jog the machine to somewhere in the middle. Click the Set Origin button in the Move window. Jog away from that position a couple of inches in both X and Y. Now click the Go to Origin in the Laser window.
Does it return to the first position?
Be sure you are not confusing Origin with Home. One can be moved, the other cannot.
There is a known issue on 2.0.0 that devs fixed yesterday for the RC
In this case best to regress to 1.7.08
and try 2.0.01RC
