Very marked starting point and visible trajectory

1st topic:
I do the design in LightBurn (test), export the G code and run it through MACH3. When each transfer begins, the initial point begins with much more power than the rest and leaves the beginning and end marked. It can be fixed?

2nd topic:
I use the program for design, but I cannot manage my Router directly with the program, since I understand that it must be because it is an assembled machine, and not a purchased one.
For this reason, there are configurations that I do not have access to.
One of those configurations that I do NOT have access to is the one that corrects the trajectory marking ($32=0 / $32=1).
Can it be solved in another way?
Or do I not have access to these configurations because it is the test software?

I’m just trying everything to define the purchase of the software

Thank you

Hi Sergio, welcome!

This is typical of the effect of acceleration/Deceleration on the movement.
If the controller is not able to modulate laser power to accommodate the deceleration of the motion, the laser will burn MORE because is the same power but at a slower rate of speed.
This is very common on GRBL controllers when they re configured on M3 mode.

I am not sure if MACH3 has this ability. If it does, then it should interpolate Svalue vs. Acceleration on controller.

These settings are controller dependent. $32 is a GRBL controller specific Laser mode On/Off. I am not sure if Mach3 interprets this at all

You can however, create a dummy Gcode custom controller.
You do not need to be connected to the machine, but this tells LightBurn the “flavor” of Gcode that needs to be generated:

Good morning Gil, thank you very much for the prompt response.

First of all, I don’t know if it’s useful information, but the controller board is the “BITSENSOR USB interface board for mach 3”.
Regarding point 1, what you tell me about interpolating Svalue vs. Acceleration in the controller, I don’t know… I should look for it and try.

Regarding point 2, in order to use the program I created a machine, and although it says “connected”, I cannot command it directly from the lightburn.
You say that by creating it, I could control it anyway?
If so, it would be much easier and more practical.

Trayectoria 1

Uncertain on the controller, Mach3 is really not my confort area, but:

Someone else has the same issue here could be worth exploring?

If memory serves me right, spindle RPM is not modified during direction changes in a CNC machine. The controller software (GRBL, Ruida) has to be specially modified to account for use with a laser. Mach3 has been around forever, so I am guessing it does not include laser operation.

Good night Gil, how are you?
Sorry for the delay, but I didn’t have time to do the tests you told me about.
For now, I set a MACH3 configuration where it allows me to change the acceleration of the Spindle (I understand that it is the acceleration of the movements).
My trial month of the program has just ended and I can’t continue testing to see if I’ll really be able to use the program or not (so as not to buy the license for nothing).
I created a virtual PC to be able to do more tests, but it doesn’t let me generate the G code correctly, it generates it incorrectly.
I guess it must be something on purpose, so that users don’t “fake” the license, right? Or will it be another error on my PC?
Is there any possibility of having one more month of trial, to determine if the program works for me or not?

Honestly, it is a very good program and I would like to be able to use it.
As I told you, I CANNOT use all its functions, and many buttons appear disabled, but still… I like it.

Thank you so much

You should be able to request a trial extension on the License Manager window.

VM can be lifted on Real licenses not trial though.

You would need to tell us which buttons exactly. Some are device dependent.
But do make sure you are not in beginner mode (Edit > settings)

Good day,
(first of all, sorry if there is something I don’t explain well, I speak Spanish and use Google Translate)

OK, I already requested the extension of the test, and they gave me 15 more days to try, but I still have problems, even some that I didn’t have before.

Verify that I am not in beginner mode (Image #5)

It marked my path again and I have no option to delete it.
I searched on youtube (Image #3) and the options I found do not appear on my screen now (Image #4).

At the beginning of the test it appeared, but when I entered that option, I saw the blank box, without being able to see the options to correct it (Image #6).

Not being able to test the program with all the functions, I am not sure if I can take advantage of it, I want to use it because the program seems very good and complete to me, but in my country (due to the taxes imposed by the state and our currency), it is a important investment… which I want to make, but I am sure that I will be able to use it. I explain?

How can I do?

Thank you so much

Sorry to step in.
Check if the following links helps somehow.

Good day how are you?

In general terms, I have the configurations fine, I only changed this, because I had them at 1.

General Parameters

But it continues to make the trajectory lines and now more marked than before (like with more power)

On the other hand, by playing with the settings so much, I am decalibrating the little that was working well for me, now the laser is with more power.
For example, I made a design in Lightburn that had engraving and cutting…
And everything that was recorded, I was already cutting… I checked the software and the configurations of each path, and it was fine… but it was not respecting what I put in the program (speed and power).

The Lightburn is generating the G code incorrectly, since it leaves me the trajectories and the complete code does not appear.

I take a while to respond, because I can do tests on weekends mostly.

Thank you

Greetings

Good morning Gil, how are you?
Could you see anything regarding my concerns from the last message?

The program (LightBurn) continues to generate the G code incorrectly and as I mentioned in the last message, there are options that do not appear in the program.

I also still have the trajectory problem.

I have a few days left with the trial software and I would like to be able to define the purchase of the license.

On the other hand, aren’t you thinking about adding MACH3 as another option?
Because I’m surely not the only one with this problem and it would be good for it to be an option, to be able to use ALL the functions that LightBurn offers, which is very complete.

I await your response.

Greetings
