Very slow interface when moving shapes

I’ve had LB setup a while and the UI has always been very sluggish when dragging objects. It’s so bad that I just assumed the app was poorly written, given that my PC specs are decent and no other software was misbehaving. I’ve been doing all my editing in inkscape, but I’m tired of doing that when I should be able to have a good editing experience, so figured I would reach out for support.

Here’s a screen capture of what I mean.

Here are my display settings, which should be close to defaults

My system specs:

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 6-Core Processor, 3701 Mhz, 6 Core(s), 12 Logical Processor(s)
  • RAM: 16.0 GB
  • Video: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060

Here’s task manager while I’m dragging objects, it’s not taxed at all. (I actually am using a decent amount of RAM but that should not matter and isn’t constant.)

I think it’s neither LightBurn nor your hardware. There might be something interfering, but I have similar specs (i5 2.9GHz, 32G, RTX2060) and never had such a problem. And on my 10-year-old ThinkPad with i5 2nd generation or so, it works fine as well.
I suggest installing LightBurn again (this helps in 70% of all bug-related cases to my experience). If this doesn’t help, can you make sure that there is no other tool running while you test it?
Here are my settings, maybe try them as well:

Not lightburn. Works fine on my i3 Dell machine.
Could be: Windows updates can make any machine jerky on the screen. Having a less than blazing speed internet can make the updates even worse (not a problem here).
