I got my hands on a VEVOR 55W CO2 laser (SH530) to test. It’s a clone of the MONPORT ONYX 55W.
I always use it with Lightburn; I haven’t even tried RD Works.
First, the pros.
- Perfectly packaged and very fast shipping from a European warehouse
- After unboxing, you can have it up and running within 20 minutes
- The machine arrived perfectly adjusted, including the mirrors and tensioned belts
- Built-in cooling system filled at the factory to -30.
- Automatic focusing along the Z-axis
- The camera integrates very easily with Lightburn via USB; configuration files are included.
- Built-in exhaust system, and the package also includes a larger exhaust fan with all necessary mounting hardware, including hoses.
- Compact design.
- It handles acrylics superbly, unlike a diode laser.
- Cons:
- The enclosure isn’t properly sealed, so fumes escape.
- The built-in AirAsist is practically useless—it’s more of a joke.
- Very poor access for refilling or replacing the coolant.
- There’s no display; you have to manage everything through Lightburn, but that’s not a huge issue.
- The documentation is a total disaster. It describes a completely different laser. If you’re a beginner, you’re in…
- You won’t find even the most basic information there, such as maintenance, troubleshooting, etc.
If I can compare it to the TS2-20W diode laser, the only advantage is speed. The diode laser also wins out with its minimal maintenance requirements.
In terms of price-to-performance ratio (11,000 for the diode vs. 58,000 for the CO₂-55W), the diode is the clear winner.
That’s not to say it’s an unusable machine, though. Once you work around the shortcomings, it’s fine.
I’ll keep playing around with it, and after some time, I’ll be able to share more of my experiences.

Používám je zásadně s Lighburnem RD Works jsem ani nezkoušel.
Nejdříve klady.
- Perfektně zabaleno a velmi rychlá přeprava z evropského skladu
- Po rozbalení jste schopni ho zprovoznit do 20min
- Stroj přišel perfektně seřízeny včetně zrcátek i napnutých řemenů
- Vestavěné chlazení naplněné z výroby do -30.
- Automatické ostření v ose Z
- Kamera s velmi jednoduchou integrací do Lighburnu na USB jsou konfigurační soubory.
- Vestavěný odtah a v balení je i větší odtahový ventilátor s potřebným montážním materiálem včetně hadic.
- Kompaktní provedení.
- Skvěle zvládá akryln narozdíl od diody.
Zápory: - Šatně utěsněno tak zplodiny unikají ven.
- Vestavěný AirAsist je spíše pro srandu naprosto nefunkční.
- Velmi špatný přístup k doplnění nebo výměně kapaliny.
- Není display ta vše musíte řešit přes Lighburn ale to zase tak nevadí.
- Dokumentace je totální katastrofa. Popisuje úplně jiný laser. Pokud jste nováček tak jste v …
Nedozvíte se tam naprosto základní věci jako je údržba , řešení problémů atd.
Pokud můžu porovnat s TS2-20W diodou tak vyhoda je jedině rychlost.Dioda vítězí i minimálními nároky na ůdržbu.
Poměrem cena výkon (11000 Dioda 58000 CO2-55W) jednoznačně vítězí dioda.
Tím ale netvrdím že je to nepoužitelný stroj.Vychytat nedostatky a je OK.
Budu se stím hrát dal a po delší době můžu napsat další zkušenosti
