In this week’s video we dive into Overscanning.
When running a job in Image or Fill mode, it’s important to ensure your laser gets up to speed before it fires. If it doesn’t, the result often comes in the form of burnt or charred edges around the perimeters of your engraving. At best it’s unsightly, and in extreme cases it can ruin your project all together.
Overscanning corrects for this, by giving your laser a ramp to get up to speed beyond the travel of your engraving while off.
We cover how to make sure it’s enabled, considerations for efficiency, and things to check to prevent errors when using this feature.
