Wandering Z midway in operation RC12 issue

So not sure what’s happening. Doing a simple line art SVG, that has no Z component. We setup single and dual pass attempts. For about 45% things are perfect. Operation is profile, Z final 0.4mm Z inc 0.2mm, Z start 0.0mm dual pass, also did same except Z final 0.2mm, 0.2 Zinc and Z start 0.0mm. Once 45% is passed Z in the gcode goes from Z 0.2 to Z 4.6mm of course. See similar problems with doing simple large letters. Again using EASEL works, MM no. What are we missing. Have spent 2 days reading all available docs. Any suggestions appreciated.
