Want to cut around a shape that is normally engraved

Hi All I’m back in the frustrating world of lasers! Had a years break for my sanity.
I have bought an image of a football from someone where you can edit names in the football. I started lasering but its 88 mins long. I would prefer it so that I just engrave the lines within the football so I can paint the sections black and white. I also want to cut the football circle out so it looks like a football.
I have read up on tracing and masking but don’t really understand what I am doing. Can anyone help please?
Have attached an image so hopefully this will be easier to understand.

If I take your design as a starting point, it will take approx. 22 minutes with fill mode (18 min. at 400mm/s) and approx. 1.5 minutes with line mode (you can just change the black layer to line). The diameter is approx. 340 mm.
The red layer is for cutting it all out.

Try and see if you can use my example.

Thank you for responding. I cant change the Image in the control panel to line or fill. Im wondering if I have to buy Vector files.

Unfortunately, I cannot see what your C00 layer is, but if it is an image, it must be traced first.

Hi it is showing image and cannot be changed. Ive just managed to trace it but there isnt a save button. Only a cancel or ok so I press ok but the trace image disappears.

It sounds strange, can you send the original picture?

Could you use my example?

Hi no because I cant change the ‘image’ to line and I cannot save the trace (see photo), it just says ok or cancel. I press ok but when it takes me back to the original page, there are no trace lines.

Turn on delete image after trace and see what happens.
