hello, I bought my Xtool d1 laser 6 months ago and yesterday when everything was fine, it no longer wanted to work. She refuses to come down. as soon as the laser has to go down, the alarm goes off and an error message appears.

Here is the warning message in question:

I tried all the tips on the forum but it didn’t change anything. it goes right, left and up but refuses to go down.

Hard limit triggered. The position of the machine is probably lost due to a sudden and immediate stop. New autoguiding is highly recommended

It would be wise to examine the switch and the wiring. If a wire is damaged motion can trip the switch.

Some laser engravers can detect the end of travel by measuring the load on the motor. For this type of motor controller, when the motor is at the end of travel and can’t move further it stalls and draws more power.

Sometimes screws become loose, causing the gantry to become angled and the gantry will grab or bind instead of moving. This can stall the motor and appear like end-of travel. I do not believe that this is a feature of the xTool D1.

Test all the screws with the Allen Key or hex wrench and make sure they are tight and that the gantry is square to the perimeter frame of the engraver. Screws may look tight, but testing to prove it will uncover hidden problems.
