Unless somewhere there is a way I missed but it never was an option in shape properties like on the draw square tool. Maybe it is somewhere but I could use it a lot.

If I understand the question, a workaround is to make shape, and offset outward with round corners selected, delete original, and re-size to original size.
Amount of offset determines size of radius.
Yes that is my current work around
You know about the “Round” tool right?
It´s at the bottom of the modifiers bar (bottom left of the screen).
Well slap me silly that was too obvious…4 years of using lightburn and I failed to notice the obvious…duhhhhhhh…thanx
No worries. I didn’t see it for a while either. It’s not ideal by any means either, clicking each point (wouldn’t it be much better if shift-click did all points on a single shape for example???)
In case you’re not aware, at least for rectangles you can change corner radius in Shape Properties. This won’t work for arbitrary shapes unfortunately.
