Hello Everyone,
I am new to laser engraving. I am having problems with getting Lightburn and my Wecreate to work together. I have been going through the forums looking for a solution before I reached out. I have tried many suggestion of what I could find with no success.
To start I have the Wecreat Vision 40w and I am running Windows 11. I have no problem getting the Wecreat to work with the software that came with the Wecreat.
To start I was able to calibrate the camera successfully. For everything else not so much.
When I try to Frame and press frame nothing happened. It just says busy. When I press Start it will fire up the laser and move a little bit. I have checked the settings to what I have seen people post in the forums and they all match. I can not get the laser to go to the start positions to engrave. I have replaced the cable from my PC to the Wecreat, I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling both Wecreat software and Lightburn. Lightburn and the Wecreat are communicating but not fully or the way it should. I am at a loss. Thank you.
Thank you for your response.
I am running the latest version of Wecreat version 3.0. I am running version 1.7.08 of Lightburn.
As for the firmware version I do not know how to find this. I Googled on how to find it and that was no help as with version 3.0 of Wecreat is a little different now.
I did use the supplied configuration for Lightburn from Wecreat.
The console dialog seems to indicate that you’re running version 2.0.24 firmware but that message may not actually indicate firmware. Let’s assume for the moment that you have correct firmware.
In terms of behavior, I don’t see anything too unusual in your Console window. Are you saying that the status in Laser window always shows as Busy and never completes for a framing operation?
I do notice some variations of Device configuration in your screenshot vs what the supplied configuration should have given you. Did you make any manual changes?
Can you make these adjustments and test again:
Disable “Enable Z Axis”
Enable “Relative Z Moves only”
Disable “Optimize Z moves”
Disable “Enable laser fire button”
Also, please check the “Gcode” tab in Device Settings. Compare to this screenshot. If it doesn’t match, change to match:
Hello,
I apologize for the late response, I just got back in town.
I have made all the adjustments and it is now working.as you listed and everything is working as it should. Thank you kindly.
