Background: The Wecreat 20w works great with my old Dell laptop running Windows 10. Got a newly-built gaming computer running Windows 11 and now we’re having issues. Both computers are running the same lightburn 2.0.05 with the same wecreat lightburn configuration running 2.0.24. I have verified that all the device settings are the same from the old computer on the new computer.
What’s Happening: With the new computer, the WeCreat laser will home, frame, z-axis moves, laser begins to fire all correctly but after .02 seconds laser stops moving, stops firings, while the fans continue to run though it’s running as normal. Naturally, you go to lightburn “Stop” the job and it should return to home and turn off. Instead it acts as though it has lost USB connection since lightburn will no longer communicate to it. When this happens I have to hard shut off the laser to get it to stop running and close lightburn because it thinks it’s still streaming.
Process of Elimination: Laser works on other laptops with the same lightburn version and settings (both windows 10 & 11). New computer is able to run other lasers and is able to run the WeCreat in the proprietary MakeIt software.
-Verified no other softwares are running and restarted both laser and new computer between tests.
-Disabled USB Sleep Settings
-Firewares are up-to-date and all the same (2.0.24)
-COM Port settings identical from old computer to new computer
-Device Settings identical
-Uninstalled & reinstalled lightburn and wecreat confirguation software (again confirmed identical settings)
-New computer had a 2 year old driver, updated the driver, no change.
-USB cords have been verified as working, changed, and even replaced anyways.
-Tried different USB ports, no change.
I have scoured the internet for possible solutions. What am I missing?
