Weird behavior with Gbrl (MKS DLC32)

I just got the MKS DLC32 board and downloaded the Lightburn software. I am experiencing weird jogging behavior. In machine settings I first selected “GRBL” and the Y-axis moved just a few millimeters and to the wrong direction. X-axis moved as expected. Then I selected GRBL-LPC and both X ja Y move, but Y still moves to the wrong direction. However if I use the console and write for example G91 Y10 F100 the Y-axis moves as expected. In LaserGRBL and UGS the jogging works as it should. Why the Y-axis jogging is inverted in Lightburn?

Stick to “GRBL”. This is the one you want.

This is typically from one of two things:

  1. Your machine origin is set incorrectly. For most DLC32 boards this should be set to bottom-left. You can change this in Edit->Device Settings.
  2. You may need to change the stepper direction for the motor if origin is otherwise correct. $3 configuration in GRBL

Can you confirm whether or not you have homing switches on your machine. And if you do, is it homing correctly? What is the reported position post homing?

Thank you! I changed back to “GRBL”. Changing the home from rear left to front left did the trick. I don’t have homing switches and I have disabled homing in Grbl settings.
