I created this simple measuring thing to focus a new fiber laser using Lightburn 2.0.04 in Windows 10 on a MacBook Pro (Bootcamp). I gave it rounded corners. Connected to my Creality Falcon2 Pro 40W and the result was not exactly what you would call satisfactory!
What the Hell happened to the rounded corners? Am I missing something?!
The same design cut perfectly in Lightburn 1.7 on Mac OS on the same MacBook Pro.
Ah, yes! I’ll have another check and see what happens. Sometimes I’m a bit dim and didn’t think about exporting settings from a Mac version of Lightburn and importing into a Windows version, which I assume is possible. If not then I’ll use the Mac version for the Creality machine and Lightburn 2.0.04 in a virtual machine for the Monport GM30 Fiber laser which I also recently bought.
I reinstalled Windows 10 in a Mac Bootcamp partition, so it is not running in a VM.
I decided to see what would happen if I used Lightburn 1.7.08 for Windows and it created corners exactly as I would expect.
I exported the settings from that version of Lightburn, installed Lightburn 2.0.04, imported the bundle and tried to cut a square with rounded corners. As shown in the new picture, I still get wonky corners.
Would this suggest an issue with Lightburn 2.0.04?
There is absolutely no such thing. You are using a pirated version of LightBurn 2.0.04, and that’s why it’s coming out the way it is.
If you purchased LightBurn for you Mac, the same license will work for 2 additional computers at the same time. If you didn’t purchase LightBurn for the Mac either, it looks like we’re going to have to put the anti-piracy measures there too.
