Are the lightburn cameras the only ones that will work with the software or can I use a webcam I already have?
LightBurn tests and produces its own camera so we have greater control over the compatibility issues that can arise. Doing so allows us to work with and support known good configurations. You can choose to use another camera, but it is more on the DIY side of things when it comes to supporting all the different cameras available.
Whether your webcam works will depend on a few things. Most notably, if you’re running Windows 7 it will not likely use the full resolution of the camera. If you’re on Win8 or 10, or MacOS, it should work.
