Brand new set up. Software works beautifully on screen. I cannot get the job to communicate with the laser. It says Error 9.
This can be caused by a number of things… in principle it means that something made it impossible for homing to occur. But in your particular case make sure that the laser is plugged into mains power with the power supply.
That error can occur on Ortur lasers when the laser supply is not working or not plugged in.
The controller can respond and seem to operate from just USB power but the machine needs full power to operate anything else.
I went looking for Error 9 but was more successful with Alarm 9.
Can you re-create the error and copy/paste the surrounding text?
I might be able to get more insight from the surrounding words.
