What is the camera used for in LightBurn?

I have a “granddaughter” visiting and like all the other children, she also loves to follow me around the workshop. One of the children always opens the door to the workshop as soon as she gets here, closes her eyes and says: mmmm, it always smells so nice here at your place…"
We did a little project together, she drew it and I burned it.
The girl bought the hairbrushes herself which were to be turned into a personal gift for her friends.

Instead of making a jig or spending tons of time adjusting, framing, adjusting…, I use LightBurn’s camera system for this type of task. It is very uncomplicated, precise and quickly done, I love this option in LightBurn.

Great example of how a properly calibrated camera can be useful.
That’s a very sweet granddaughter you have there, thinking of her friends like this.

This is the first time where I could see having a camera is actually useful. I did not know you could impose your drawing on the camera image. Thanks @bernd.dk , now I have to spend more money! :joy:

Thanks for the kind words.

@mikey, this is just for fun, the real value I get from using the camera system is in the daily work of using it, especially in material management and transferring text or graphics onto very irregular shapes. You won’t regret opening the door to the possibilities that a well-tuned camera system offers.
