When cutting a simple word the first letter is cut again above the original one...tried a different typeface and still get the same

An extra letter appears above the text I am cutting…tried a different typeface and still get the same…an extra letter (the outline of one) above my offset fill letters…

Help us see what you see. Please post a screenshot of your entire Lightburn screen with the Cuts/Layers Panel and Laser Panel visible. Also post a picture of the project showing the error.

I think my laser is burnt out. Call me later if your not tied up. Thanks

Could be a duplicate has snuck into the design.

Click on EDIT and select DELETE DUPLICATES.

Thanks for the speedy reply. I checked and apparently there were no duplicates. I have resolved it by switching from offset fill to fill (although it now adds more time to the process). At least the strange ghost-like letter issue has been resolved.
