I currently am running an AtomStack A5 M50 Pro under the trial version of Lightburn. I have ordered an Omtech Polar 350 which I believe has a Ruida controller. I will most likely upgrade this machine with a hand held DSP controller as I see on this video.
I assume I should get the DSP license, but am not sure it will run the Ruida controller before I do the upgrade, which may not happen very soon.
I see they are using a Ruida motion control system.
If you choose to do so, you could purchase the GCode version initially to support your AtomStack. When your Polar arrives, you can deactivate a GCode key and start the trial again to test DSP compatibility with your system directly. Email support@lightburnsoftware.com, include the trial key, if you need a trial extension. Adding DSP support to an existing GCode key is a simple path.
And thank you for sharing that video link. I can see great value in adding this HMI control display to the workflow. Nice share. Please don’t hesitate to share your experiences if you do undertake this journey. Always up for direct feedback on what sounds like a fun upgrade.
