I’m looking to dedicate a machine to my new laser. I want to buy a camera (haven’t yet). I’ve seen some have had issues with the camera and Linux, but those posts are over a year old now. Which distro is recommended for LB w/ camera?
Officially we support Ubuntu 16+ and Fedora 28+ and the camera should work fine on any of those. In general though, especially if setting up a computer just for your lasers, I recommend grabbing Ubuntu.
Please let me know if it does not work for any reason.
Thank you for your reply. I’m grabbing Ubuntu 16.04 unless you recommend another version. From what I’ve seen it does best with a camera.
