White spots on stainless steel when I engrave photos

Hello, how are you community, this is my first post and I need your help, I used to envgraved these kind of desings on stainless steel with my atomstack x7 diode laser machine, and I really liked the finish it had, generating a little light shadows in the engraving. and good details,
And I thought that with an omtech compact galvo 50w fiber machine I would probably do much better with the finishes, but it is the opposite, I am having problems with the engravings. I will try to explain

In the engraving where the children are, it was with a Diode machine in a Grayscale style. and as you can see it has good details and light shadows that the clients and I really like.

But in the following photo “the one of the two grandparents” is with the omtech fiber laser, and as you can see the “shadow” turns into “white dots” when seen from another angle or some light enters the engraving and it really does not I like it.
I have tried different ways changing DPI, different speeds, different powers and frequencies, I have watched many videos on YouTube and the best I have achieved is this type of engraving.

I hope you can help me honestly.

I have always used Image-r.com to make the designs in image-R.com here in the omtech I used DPI 1000, skeldon stainlee stell material.

in lightburn

DPI 1500,
Image mode Jarvis
Angle 90 deg.
Dot Witdh 0.030

Speed 210
Power 60%
Frecuency 30%

Hi Miguel
I’m not an expert here but do you think the first grandparents piece was a deep burn with a bit too much power.

The next one was much better, but looking at the lady’s hair, it is all very black and high contrast, so again I thought…too much power or too slow speed.

Have you tried with less DPI and what quality is the original photo.

Hello, thank you for your response, the first and second photo of the grandparents is the same engraving, only that in one photo there is light entry and in another photo there is no light entry…

I’m going to try with less dpi, and less power, the images are high resolution

Hello Miguel

I think if you make progressive changes you will see a difference.
If you type into the search box “photo dpi” you will find many excellent examples to learn from.
Here is one for example:-

I should have mentioned this before…pardon me.

Good luck with it, and you might show us how it works out.
