My Creality Falcon2 40W laser engraver was using a USB3 port to connect to my MacBook Pro. I had it all set up, and had the usbserial port selected, but today when I connected it, the port no longer exists. What happened? Is this going to happen every time I disconnect?
COM Ports get assigned randomly, so it might have changed, yes.
But using usb 3 with a diode laser creates lots of trouble, you are better off using usb 2 connections (put an older hub in between).
