Why does it say 99%?

Why does the software always say 99% done when its not even half way through, makes it harder to to judge the timings?

Adjust your device settings per this doc

I believe what you’re seeing is the result of buffering on the device. The displayed percent value is the “sending progress”, not the “running progress”. LightBurn knows how much of the job it’s sent to the device, but there may not be insight from the device as to where it actually is in the running of the job. Once all the job is sent and buffered, the progress will just sit there at “99%” until LightBurn sees it’s complete.

On my fiber laser, there’s apparently quite a large buffer, so the job gets done being sent with quite a bit of actual job time remaining.

Adjusting the settings to make the preview estimates more closely match your real-life timings can be helpful for estimating how long the job will take in total, but it won’t have any effect on the job sending status.
