Wider font/lines…
I have received a mini order of 3 boxes for a card club and was given free rein to design the box. As usual, I used LB exclusively for the task, I was not patient enough to find a suitable template in boxes.py, which I otherwise consider a fantastic “accessory” for LightBurn
The design itself is characterized by the purpose of course, and the specified measurements must be adhered to. But by making a logo for the 3 card friends, I thought about a post here in the forum recently, regarding thicker lines for a similar project. So I started playing with my settings until I found something that suited me.
The font/logo is made with 0.2mm offset and 8mm +focus, I used 13% max power/8.75 min power and 200mm/s in speed. The “prototype” is approved and now I am making 3 pieces of the same kind. Design time was about 2-3 hours, (my first draft wasn’t good enough).
Assembly time and finishing with leader grease takes about half an hour per piece.
As always, I have had a lot of fun with this little project.

Looks really nice
Very nice.
I’ll be upfront about this: I’m stealing your hinge design for future projects.

You are so welcome
If it is not for the sake of decoration, they can be made significantly shorter.
They are very simple but effective, here is no.2 in the series with a little modiferd shaft.
… I fear that in the long version the thin axle will break with a little rough handling, they are only 3mm. But I have decided that if they break, I just cut off the excess material and glue an end disc on.
… Is there really someone who wants the drawing, so just let me know.
