managed to connect MacBook Pro to Omtech Polar+ with Wifi, but some controlls work some do not. Jog X±; Jog Y± all work but Home and Start do not.
Do you receive any errors when you press start or home? Or does nothing happen at all?
Would you be able to verify your machine functionality with a USB connection to make sure everything works that way?
Hi thanks for the response. Using a USB cable everything works fine. When using Polar wifi the connection is made, packets are sent when I ping the laser IP address, but no error is received when in LightBurn I press Start or Home or Frame. Jogging X and Y only work when set to continuous.
What happens if you use ‘Send’ instead of ‘Start’?
Does your file fully transfer over to your laser so you can start using the laser itself? Or does the file transfer fail?
Have you reached out to OMTech support for their recommendations? The Polar+ manual and OMTech website only reference USB connections for LightBurn. Their Polar350 support page shows a WiFi and ethernet setup procedure, but the Polar+ support page does not, and there may be a reason for that.
