Wild automation

I use autocad and i have automated the layers and positioning.
How can I easily import a DXF and press CUT without having to move to the proper corner?

The coordinates in the dxf are the same than they should be on the laser.

Use the Shift key when importing to preserve the drawing’s origin, for example, you can either;

  • click on Import, then hold down Shift as you double click or “Open” the DXF

  • or drag the DXF file into the LightBurn window and hold down Shift as you drop it.

If the scale of the import is wrong, make sure you have enabled “Auto-detect units” in Edit > Settings > File Settings;

If you are working in “Absolute Coords” mode, and your incoming DXF geometry is already organised in layers you’ve coloured to auto-match to LightBurn layers with custom default cut settings then you could be immediately ready to cut.
