Some time ago I was having problems with the UI grid legend displaying correctly when using a 4K screen on my laptop. After a lot of playing around I managed to resolve this during which I used the default reset quite a bit.
I now have the problem that I cannot get my windows to dock as I would like - specifically I want the Cuts/Layers tab top right and Laser tab bottom right.
What I find is that only the console tab will initiate the blue docking area in the top portion, none of the other tabs can be docked.
The 2 screen prints show the problem and no matter where I move the window to in the top area only Console brings up the blue docking area.
Have looked through the many posts without finding a solution so any ideas welcome!
Remember I had tried this before but I wish you hadn’t asked as I needed to get screen prints to explain and it takes ages to get it back to the state reported above!
OK - initially it looks as if it helps but note that the bottom part of the Cut/Layer tab is lost (interval field)
By moving everything out of the top pane then moving the console back, I get back to the situation as for the previous post which is at least workable though not what I like.
In addition I am finding, as others have reported, I need to flip between non-maximised and maximised for the main window to get the screen to format correctly.
While I understand you asking the resolution should not affect why a docking window should be available for one panel and not another.
But to answer your question it is 3840 x 2160 and I have no intention of changing it. I spent weeks playing around with resolutions when I had the original problem of the legend not displaying correctly!
I was asking because there have been problems with low resolution.
It was a simple diagnostic question.
Sorry for wasting you time. (and mine)
I’m out of this one.
