Windows 11 havoc

In light of how Microsoft has shown the world with Windows 11 that they really don’t care about their customers, they only want control, will you reconsider reintroducing Linux support again?

Not at this time, no.

You can read about why here: Linux support to end after v1.7 - #11 by LightBurn

I had to buy a Win11 machine because a backup unit died, and upgraded another laptop. Other than clicking all over the place to get something done, I have not had an issue with it. Lightburn, no issues at all moving up from Win10.

I’m aware of that and I understand it, don’t misunderstand, but in view of how Microsoft has mistreated their customers lately, it would be nice to have an alternative to Windows without replacing the hardware.

Microsoft has been doing irritating stuff for years. Win10 to Win11 = They just moved stuff around and made it hard to find. What used to take 2 clicks now takes 4-5 clicks. Now to shut down I click on the screen left side, then slide over to the right to click again. I think MS fired the ergonomics guy.

They also enforced always-online, no local admin account and carpet bombed everything with AI and more ads, which many do not like and have moved elsewhere, that is, to mac or linux and since the former requires new hardware, there you go.

Not on my machines.

Not on mine either, along with no Copilot and I decide if and when and what upgrades I want to install.

I just right click to shut down
