I have lost my “cuts” and “laser” window. I guess I dragged them off the screen? How do i get them back?

Also, I did a cut and scan tonight. It cut the shape before it scanned the images. How do I scan first?

Also in the pic, the bottom of his name was cut off. The laser went over it but didn’t etch.

To get your windows back select ‘Window’>-‘Reset to Default Layout’.

Cut order defaults to layer order but you have a lot of control over the ordering of your cuts. Have a look here:
