I confirmed that it is worked as expected on my machine but I’m running a firmware that’s pretty old at this point. Looks like Feb of 23.
I just updated my firmware to the same and my positions are reading out as expected.
I think you said something key here: When you jog and its not updating are you jogging from the Jog2k or MillMage?
For the record, I have a Jog2K here but haven’t gotten it working yet.
Jogging from both makes no difference.
IM really new to all this but im wondering if its a firmware version that could cause it due it maybe something complied in it..
Mine is a PRintnc version but i have no idea if that makes a difference or not.
Not sure if I am being schooled or corrected. Not sure what GRBL release that is, but I am pretty sure v1.1f allowed both at the same time. There are a lot of 8-bit boards out there, mine included, that report both. MillMage does show both at the same time, and so far nobody has complained about one of them missing.
Learning things. It IS the jog2k that is breaking position read out. WHY??? IDK yet. Talking to Andrew from Expatria and will probably rope in someone else with even more knowledge, but wanted to tell you, you aren’t nuts.
We did figure out that the position read out is NOT broken on the 0.9.9.8 firmware. It breaks at the 1.0 releases. Still working out the why but at least we know the when.
