Workaround for not being able to set xTool D1 Z steps per mm

I find that $102 which is the Z steps per mm is set to 0 but I’m unable to change it no matter what I do.

xTool have blocked all GRBL configuration changes. This has been an issue from the first GRBL release.

I suggest you loudly complain to xTool about this. There was a previous post about the same issue here:

Rotary not working correctly

Recently updated LaserBox and when I did, my lightburn rotary started to act strange. When I frame,my “Z” axis or “Y” starts to rotate about 5 revolutions too many before the 'X" axis works properly. I started to burn once and it just stated making long lines spaced out a mm apart. Ive checked everything i know how but nothing seems to work. It does work fine in Laserbox though. Any thoughts would be appreciated!
