I noticed that all of my cuts along the X axis are thin and precise and Y cuts are thick and smudgy. Please refer to the image attached
As I am new to the laser world, can anyone help me point out if it’s the issue of the lens/machine calibration or is there something we can do in the Lightburn?
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Diode laser ?
This is most often an artifact caused by the shape of the dot.
To confirm this we need to know more about the laser you’re using.
Sorry, I should have included the machine details.
I am using 100w CO2 laser with rudia controller, 900*600
Have you checked that your nozzle is exactly 90 degrees vertically, in both directions?
It could also be a smudge on the lens…
