During engraving I see a shift in the x-axis. The shift is gradual over somewhere between 20 and 60 lines - the runs fine for a while and the shifts again.
I have never experienced this before and my belts have fine tension and the above mentioned behaviour would not normally indicate problems with belt tension.
I just upgraded to Lightburn 1.6.00 - does anyone know if that could be the problem?

Belts are only a part of the driving mechanics. The wheels/ball bearings, pulleys etc. add equal sources of errors. Do not just check the belts. Check everything related to moving parts.
I found the problem and it was entirely the stupid man operating the laser
I forgot to raise the focus bar and that must have pushed the workpiece a tiny bit - with it raised there was no problem afterwards
