I’ve had this problem off and on for about 1 year. Using Windows to run Lightburn verison 1.6.03. One day it will work great and the next it struggles to frame (only circular and not square). It will not burn the complete full letters of about half of the alphabet characters. Some days it works perfect and other days it struggles to do the above. I know very little about the required device and machine settings and cannot determine if anything changes between shutdown and restarts. Actually I do not know if there are required settings for inital start-up or if you have to re-set initial setting when versions are updated.
