I am experiencing gaps in the burns and cuts. All lines are selected within Lightburn software, however there are parts of the designs / letters left out when completed. I have ran interval tests, firmware updates, etc. This issue started once I hooked up the air assist components. Is this a software or hardware issue?
BeakWing, can you describe your air assist setup? I had a similar problem without h my setup. The laser power supply needs to provide clean power to your device. In my case the laser and my compressor were obtaining their input 240v AC from the same electrical circuit in my house. When the holdtank of my air supply reached pressure the compressor would shut down only to resume once the pressure fell below the min pressure setting. The switching of the compressor on and off produce enough noise on the AC power line to affect the laser electronics.
Sometimes RF or EMF interference can cause data-loss.
Find a waste-board and test it with the air assist off (and nothing else different) to see if the compressor is putting noise on the power or communication line.
I had problem with an axial blower creating interference. I plugged it into an outlet 20’ away with a long extension cord so i could use the rest of the house for noise dampening. Problem went away - hasn’t crashed since. 
I changed nothing else.
