xTool f1 Ultra - Fibre Frequency settings

Hello Everyone

I’m trying to setup an ‘xTool f1 Ultra’ with Lightburn. I have added the G-code to the Device settings G4M1000 to put the laser into ‘Fibre laser’ mode.

But in the software options i cannot find anywhere to adjust the frequency settings of the fibre laser as i’m trying to design a material test grid ? Any help will be greatly appreciated thanks.

Doesn’t appear that you can directly set it in a Lightburn layer. Here is a partial screen shot from the xTool site link.

There is an xTool site for using Lightburn, might want to check that out and see what they say.

I don’t know if these are even detected by the software as a galvo device.

Maybe one of the Lightburn people have a better response… such as @gilaraujo

Thank you for the help Jack

I have a 60W MOPA, just to put things into perspective.

They do, and tell you in the clip I posted what the gcode is. It appears to be two choices, 30 and 60kHz, from the notation. It would be nice if they advised you of which is high and low power.

I’m guessing that making a change like this in Lightburn, is not so simple, especially if the gcode/galvo parts are split … I don’t know, just speculating. I believe they would do add it if it were a reasonably doable thing.

Fiber lasers are pulse lasers, compared to co2 and visible led lasers that are continuous mode (cw).

You control pulses/mm with the frequency. Not sure how you could simulate it with just speed and power?

My 2 cents, thanks for chiming in. I like these, but couldn’t afford to have one to mess around with.
