Question for the group I hope someone can answer. I’m using Lightburn and I have an XTool S1 40w, using the RA2 rotary attachment. I’m engraving some powder coated metal water bottles. I start the laser crosshairs on the top of the bottle, but when it starts engraving the laser is hitting the side of the bottle (probably about the 11 o’clock position). Is this normal? My old XTool D1 engraved on the top of the object. Is there an offset function that I’ve missed. Thanks in advance!
For this to happen, you must be seeing travel in the Yaxis. You should only have Xaxis and Rotary motion (which substitutes for Ymotion).
The laser only moves on the y-axis when it first starts. The rest of the time there is only rotation and x-axis movement.
When it first starts to run the program or when it first powers up?
When I push the start button in lightburn.
Without seeing the design file (.lbrn2), it will be hard to tell if it is the program or the controller doing it.
