(This issue has been discussed in two threads already but they are both closed so I had to raise this as a new one.)
I’ve been using LB to control my S1 for several months with no problems at all.
Suddenly last week I found that the only command which would work with the S1 was the Home button - nothing else in the Move or Laser windows of LB worked. No errors were shown on the LB console.
I then tried using XCS to control the S1 and found that when I tried to start a burn it gave a Baseplate or Riser exception.
Since then it’s been a long journey to fix that exception - a lot of dismantling and refitting screws etc. Today I finally got it to run under XCS without the exception (Not sure how long it will work without giving the exception, but that’s another story…)
But the really interesting thing was that as soon as XCS stopped giving the exception, I tried the S1 with LB and suddenly everything was fine.
So unless it’s just a complete coincidence, it seems that if in LB all functions except home stop working, the thing to do is to try the S1 under Xtool UI, and you will probably have that exception - solve the exception and then LB will work.
