I can record and cut on Mac and I can even cut on Windows, but when I try to record, the Y axis moves strangely, leaving the drawing crooked. I use Lightburn. What could I have done to make this happen?
Most likely, at least one of the axes has mechanical backlash.
Scale this test pattern to fit the platform and run it as fast as it will go in Line mode with optimizations turned off and power set to mark cardboard:
Any distortion in the results on the cardboard indicates a mechanical problem. Upload a picture of the results so we can look over your shoulder.
alot more information needed. What controller? If it’s a Ruida, it could be your PWM rising needs to change on the Y axis. This is under the machine settings, Vendor settings. As far as diode’s go and grbl controller’s, probably mechanical
