I have a XTool D1 Pro. I just recently changed the machine I was using LB with to the D1 Pro. Before it was my new Monport 30 watt Fiber laser. So the problem is that when I set a circle or square and probably any other shape the Y axis is only moving 1/2 the distance. In the one case I set a circle to 25 mm diameter. Came out an elipse. I measured the x axis of the cut and it was 25 mm, but the Y axis was 12.5 mm. I tried the calibrate option but it wont take it. Says 100 steps per mm for both axis. I then started the XTool Create program and had it cut a circle. Came out perfect. So I have the lastest build of LB installed. What are my options?
Do you have rotary disabled?
Ensure you checked what @Dskall advised…
Did you create a device for each machines?
Did you change devices before loading the file?
Ok, I’ll check that and hope that’s the source of the trouble.
No, the rotary is not enabled.
By device, do you mean the list that appears with the comm port also showing? Under the Laser dialog box.
I believe so. You had to create at least one for you to use a laser with Lightburn… you many have just dropped the manufacturers supplied file on Lightburn while running…
I’m assuming you’re talking about the fiber…
Well did for the XTool and the fiber. XTool said I needed to have the config file from them because I assume their machine is very different from most other machine and that it would not work with LB if I didn’t.
Update: I went through the devices list and removed a number of dupes for the XTool laser. Out curiousity I ran a circle again and again I got an elipse. Looking at the screen again I saw that the rotary was enabled. Now I could swear it wasn’t when I was asked to check it earlier. Any way, I ran the circle again and this time it was a circle. Mayhap I wasn’t paying attention to screen and assumed I had the rotary disabled. Sorry to have bother everyone here with such “doh!” problem. Thank you all for your responses and I’ll make sure in the future to double check for possible “doh!” issues before coming here to get answers.
