I recently purchased a secondhand Chinese K 40 40 W CO2 laser with a 32 bit cohesion 3-D controller board and I’m trying to run it on light burn with smoothie firmware. I was able to get an almost perfect engraving on my first try, but I am now having issues with the Y access separating layers exponentially greater on every pass. I have adjusted the layer interval to its finest setting and the highest DPI and although it has compressed the layers more, they are still Too far apart and get exponentially farther on each pass. has anybody encountered this problem and if so, was there anything that fixed the problem. Please let me know if there are any adjustments. I can make on light burn that might fix this problem or if it is something that I would have to re-flash the firmware or otherwise.
