Z axis autofocus with Ruida6445g and lightburn

HI all

IM hopeing someone can shed some light on this issue..

Im still very new to C02 and this machine is a custome build that so far has had many issues but have been able to solve most.. No im trying to get the auto focus setup but having a issue i still cant figure out ..

OK i have the auto focus setup as per many videos i have watched but the issue is now that if i press the up/down on the ruida controller the bed moves now a it should. Also if i use lightburn to move be bed up/ down from screen it moves as it should . However the first issue is when i select focus button on ruida the stepper Squeals with next to no movement. but manual selection still works fine. I checkedsettings over and over but cant solve it.

Also if select focus from lightbirn it dont work..

Any help would be appreciated.

Most likely, the Maximum speed for the Z axis is too high: try 10 mm/s.

The Maximum acceleration may also be too high: try 100 mm/s².

Set the Keypad jumpoff speed and Keypad acceleration for the Z axis to similar values.

The 6445 manual describes several autofocus settings that surely make a difference, but I do not understand what the various choices mean; they seem to depend on the exact hardware setup. Trying various combinations may be the only way to find one that lets LightBurn control the focus.
