On my Atezr L2 with movable Z axis I am trying to make the laser head drop down .5mm per pass, is this the correct setting? or should I go to .75 or even a full mm?

This is more about your specific needs and the material to be cut so impossible to generalize. I’d suggest running some tests to see if there’s actually an improvement and to dial-in the best settings.
Yeah, I get it about the actual settings, I shouldn’t have made it a two part question. I’m more concerned weather or not I have I the proper settings plugged in to accomplish the act of drop down cutting with the movable Z axis. Thank You for your comment berainlb
